With over 500 animals of 60 different species, the Bayou Wildlife Zoo presents wildlife like never seen before. The tour showcases many exotic animal species, from buffalo to zebras, while Addie Lou’s Barnyard is home to both rare creatures and classic farm animals, like lemurs and sheep. The Big Red Barn is where the giraffes call home, and it also contains the gift shop.

Covering 148 acres of wetlands and home to many local plants and flowers, Dr. Ned and Fay Dundey Clear Creek Nature Center includes several trails, a butterfly garden, and a pavilion. As many birds live or stop in the park during their migration, the center put up several bird blinds, allowing visitors places to watch the birds. Education through signs, field trips, and literature is a major goal of the center.
